Hey you guys. After replying to the same questions over and over again, I thought I would just create a FAQ page so that the information is easier to access.
Which was your first instrument?
I originally played the viola when I first started middle school, but I grew bored and tired of it. Then I switched to flute, which has been my main instrument since about 6th grade.
How long have you been playing your top three instruments for?
- Flute for 9 years
- Alto Saxophone for 8 years
- Bassoon for 3 years.
Do you compose your own music?
Yes, this is my favorite activity. I also record all of my pieces. I have a CD coming out this August.
Do you take requests for YouTube videos?
Yes I do, but please remember there are a number of factors. I usually plan out videos or a video schedule 2 weeks in advance, this is why I can easily foret requests sent to me. If you would like me to play something request and then remind with a follow up email every 3-4 days, then I should be able to fit you in!
Also please understand I do not take every request, some for personal reasons, others for time constraints.
How is it legal to arrange copyrighted songs and play them on Bass Clarinet?
First off, I am not taking any credit in creation of the song, I credit the artist in every video title. Also I am not uploading their exact version of it, it is my arrangement. I use my piano to play a lot of the backgrounds and progressions. In which case, I am not playing over the instrumental track which would be illegal. Last but not least, is that I am not making a profit off of those specific videos. Of course if YouTube ever considered it copyright infringement I would take them down immediately.
How long to you plan to continue your YouTube account?
